Good game but they need to fix the in app purchases!

Ive made about a half dozen in app purchases on my iPhone and each time the iTunes account gets charged. The items purchased do not show up and I receive an error message when I start the game saying the purchase failed. Each time I submit a tech support issue and several days later I get the item.
Why do they make it difficult to make a purchase and then when you submit an issue they want you to submit a proof of purchase like you are trying to cheat them? Just fix your app problem!
